1. We’re family-friendly

Pilates instructor sounds so much more innocent and non-threatening than Personal Trainer when you introduce us to your parents.

2. We’re self-aware

We know ourselves well, both physically and emotionally. So, if we think you’re the one, you probably are.

3. We’re good listeners

You can’t train people well without being interested in them. Honestly, we can’t wait to hear all about that time you accidentally super-glued your ear to the car door.

4. We’ve got a great sense of humour

You can’t be a male Pilates instructor and take yourself too seriously.

5. We’ll make you a better morning person

We’re used to getting up with the lark to train people, and our early morning energy is infectious. At the very worst, you can expect more breakfast in bed!

6. Tough day at work? We’ll fix that

With its focus on posture and alignment, Pilates is the perfect antidote to office aches and pains. So, when you come home with your backache, tight shoulders or stiff neck, we’ll get rid of it in minutes.

7. We’re patient and supportive

Pilates teaches us that some skills take time and effort to master. Next time it takes you five goes to get those shelves up straight, we’ll be encouraging all the way.

8. We’ve got great stamina

You wouldn’t believe the positions we can hold. Or how long we can hold them.

Pilates instructors know anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, diet and psychology. And Latin. Gluteus maximus, piriformis, transversus abdominis – need we go on?

Or the hallway, the living room, the garden – we don’t need gyms or equipment to give you a killer full-body workout.
